Alaska Trophy Moose
Alaska Trophy Moose
hunts take place in Western Alaska in the heart of prime big-moose country.
Alaska-Yukon moose are the largest antlered animal in the world. Until you see
one of these gigantic beasts on the hoof, it is hard to imagine just how immense
they truly are. Hunting takes place near our wilderness cabin on the south fork
of the Hoholitna River in GMU 19B where many record moose have been harvested.
The average antler spread is 65 inches in this area with some monsters over 70
inches. Guided hunts are from base camps or spike camps on or near river
corridors at 500 to 1,500 feet in some alpine “hotspots” and valleys with high
moose mating activity. Other species available are: Grizzly, Caribou, Black
Bear, Wolves and Wolverines.
